Day 1 - Arrive in Sydney and a private hotel transfer
After landing in Sydney, go through the arrival gate to meet your private driver. Stay three nights in Sydney, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Enjoy the stunning harbour views, golden beaches, exciting shopping, dining and a vibrant nightlife.

Day 2 - Sydney City Ultimate Highlights tour
This unique day is the ultimate way to experience the beauty of Sydney.  Your experienced guide greets you at your city hotel for a drive around the historic Rocks precinct, visiting the first church in Australia, the Observatory and the convict built cottages, continuing around Circular Quay, the Opera House and into the magnificent Botanical Gardens. Here we take a short walk to view Mrs Macquarie’s chair and excellent harbour views to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Day 3 - Blue Mountains day tour (with optional hiking)
The Blue Mountains is a rugged region west of Sydney, famous for dramatic scenery and bush walking trails. After departing the city, your guide will point out the historical Rocks precinct and cottages built by convicts. See Australia’s first church and remnants of the past. Next stop is at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Fall in love with Australia’s adorable marsupials, including Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies and Wombats. Continue west to the Blue Mountains National Park for a refreshment stop. Continue on to Kings Tableland to absorb the magnificent views over Grose Valley. After lunch at the charming village of Leura, take a two-hour hike to the famous Three Sisters Rock Formation. Enjoy the flora and fauna of this world listed heritage park. You'll then be collected by your guide and driven back to Sydney.

Day 4 - Flight Sydney to Cairns - transfer to Port Douglas
Your driver will transfer you back to Sydney Airport, from where you'll take a direct domestic flight to Cairns (3 hours and 15 mins). After landing in Cairns, you’ll be transferred to the Port Douglas area (1 hour drive away). Your accommodation is located in the tropical holiday town of Port Douglas. Note: the 5-star option, Silky Oaks Lodge, is located in Mossman, about 20 minutes drive from Port Douglas.

Day 18 - From Pancake Rocks to Nelson/ Abel Tasman region (265 kms/ 165 m/ 4 hrs)
The Great Coast Road is Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Coastal Drives in the world and connects between Greymouth and Westport. Today, you’ll travel alongside the ancient limestone cliffs of Paparoa National Park, home to the world's smallest penguin. Stop on the way and try underground rafting at Charleston, caving at Fox River and don’t miss the famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes at Punakaiki. Highway 6 continues north through the dramatic Buller Gorge. Along this section is a beautiful photo stop (for your safety, please use the correct pullover area).  Further ahead is Lyell and it’s historic walkway and viewpoint.
 

Day 19 - Sandy beaches, arts and crafts and vineyard in the Tasman region
The beautiful Nelson-Tasman region contains New Zealand's smallest National Park with 22,350ha - the Abel Tasman National Park. Golden golden beaches and azure waters stretch from Kaiteriteri and Marahau to Collingwood in the Golden Bay.Try to include at least one of the two walking tracks; the beautiful coastal track, and the inland track through the hilly centre of the park. Bring your own supplies and hiking gear. Plan a visit to Marahau nearby and then take a short drive from Motueka to Kaiteriteri Beach a favourite holiday spot with a lovely safe beach and good facilities including cafes & restaurants.


Day 20 - Domestic flight to Napier/ North Island
After leaving your rental car at Nelson airport, save yourself heaps of holiday time by taking a short 2-hour domestic flight to Napier in the North Island.Hawke’s Bay is renowned for its  fresh local produce, farmers markets and artisan producers. Also famous are the local wineries, the Art Deco City of Napier and the Gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers. Over the past few years the local council has extended a superb bicycle track network, which is fantastic for everyone wanting to explore the area and meet friendly locals.

Day 13 - Flight Melbourne to Queenstown/ New Zealand
Fly from Melbourne to Queenstown, the Adventure Capital of New Zealand! Be met by your driver at the arrival hall and taken to your Queenstown accommodation. Queenstown provides every variety of tour option imaginable. Surrounded by majestic mountains, Queenstown is set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and the scenery is stunning! Enjoy the perfect combo of sophisticated dining, shopping and adventure options.

Day 14 - Scenic flight Queenstown to Milford Sound with cruise
This morning, take a scenic flight connection between Queenstown and Milford Sound. This is the ultimate way to experience the vastness of New Zealand’s dramatic alpine scenery. The aircraft are specifically designed for mountain flying and the pilots have years of experience. After flying into Milford Sound join a 1 hour 40 minute Scenic Cruise from the comfort of a spacious and modern boat. Enjoy the vastness of the fjords, spot dolphins and penguins in the waters and see the power of roaring waterfalls. You’ll be flown back to  Queenstown in the early afternoon to discover more in New Zealand’s adventure capital.


Day 15 - Drive with rental car Queenstown to Fox Glacier (370 kms/ 230 miles/ 5.5 hrs)
Travel on a 5.5 hour drive to Fox Glacier (or Franz Josef Glacier) via Wanaka and Haast Pass. Stop at key scenic sites on the way. Take a short walk to the beautiful ‘Blue Pools’ near Makarora, visit the Twin Falls just before Haast Pass and the ‘Shipwreck Cove’ walk along the West Coast main road. Take your time, explore as much as you can on one of the most scenic roads in New Zealand. The terminal face of Fox Glacier is just five kilometres from the township that serves it, so a late afternoon walk is possible.Stay 2 nights in Fox village to explore the glacier and other attractions in the area.


Day 16 - Stay and explore the glacier, rainforest and remote beaches
Nestled among the rainforest foothills of the Southern Alps, the Fox Glacier and Franz Josef townships provide quality accommodation, hotels, cafes, a general store and service station. Access to Fox Glacier is provided by local companies offering guided walks, heli-hikes and scenic flights (with or without snow landings). Fox Glacier is internationally famous for Lake Matheson’s stunning mirror images of Aorangi/Mount Cook and Mount Tasman. Another less known scenic attraction, is the drive to Gillespie Beach (around 25 kms away) along the stunning coastline nearby. Once at the Beach, you’ll find a connection to a lagoon walk leading to an old miners tunnel. But remember, before visiting Gillespie Beach, do check the tides!


Day 17 - Travel from Fox Glacier to Punakaiki (240 kms / 149 miles / 3.5 hrs)
The West Coast region is one of the most sparsely populated parts of the country - on the 600 kms long coastal road between Karamea and Jackson Bay only 33,000 souls live here, so don’t expect many towns. However this is such a beautiful area of native forests, beaches and lagoons. At Ross there's a goldfield walkway to explore and stops for a picnic by the shores of Lake Ianthe. A visit to the White Heron colony near Whataroa is an absolute must-do. The second largest town in the area is Hokitika, famous for New Zealand Pounamu (Jade) and the gold rush from 1860-80. If you’re interested in history, stop at Hokitika for a coffee then visit the local museum and relive those interesting times by seeing the historic slideshow.

Day 9 - Flight from Ayers Rock to Adelaide
Transfer back to Ayers Rock Airport. Take a domestic flight to Adelaide,Southern Australia. Adelaide is a cosmopolitan city, renowned for it’s museums, art galleries and wine! There are many wine tasting regions in Australia but this area of South Australia is unique. The combination of a rich European heritage and the fresh vitality of Australia is embodied in the lifestyle of the Barossa.There are many hidden treasures in this rural setting and much to admire along the way as you pass historic churches, cottages and famous wineries.


Day 10 - Kangaroo Island day tour ex Adelaide
Today you’ll be treated to the highlights of South Australia’s premier nature-based destination, Kangaroo Island. After being collected from your hotel at 6.45am you’ll be transferred to the Cape Jervis ferry terminal. From here, take a 45-minute ferry trip to Penneshaw to visit the Seal Bay Conservation Park. An experienced Park Ranger will accompany you on a beach walk to see Australian Sea-lions. Enjoy a delicious two-course lunch in a beautiful bushland setting at Vivonne Bay Bistro. After lunch, visit the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to see koalas relaxing in the trees. Spend the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park and walk around Remarkable Rocks to the playful New Zealand Fur Seals at Admirals Arch. To reduce travel time back to Adelaide, you’ll return via Rex Air and arrive back at the hotel by 7.30pm.

Day 11 - Domestic flight Adelaide to Melbourne
Transfer from your Adelaide hotel to the airport to catch a domestic flight. After landing in Melbourne you’ll be met by a driver at the arrival hall and taken to a totally different world! Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city - a city of stately 19th-century buildings and tree-lined boulevards. At it’s centre and  in stark contrast, is the modern Federation Square development, with plazas, bars, restaurants and cultural events along the Yarra River. In Southbank, the Melbourne Arts Precinct is a series of galleries displaying Australian and Indigenous art.

Day 12 - Kangaroo Island via McLaren Valley
Seize the morning to taste your way around Melbourne's top ‘foodie’ destinations - sample locally produced delicacies. Get yourself a trolley, and take a shopping tour of the Queen Victoria Market or discover hidden secrets found in Melbourne's laneways. In the afternoon/ evening discover Australian wildlife in their natural habitat - you’ll love the Penguin Parade!. Go on a Wild Ocean Eco-Boat Tours, see the Koala Conservation Centre, Churchill Island Heritage Farm and Nobbies Centre. The Nature Parks provides many coastal and bushland walks across Phillip Island, traversing stunning beaches and wetlands.

Day 5 - Sailing and Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is a kaleidoscope of colour and marine life. Sail off in the Aquarius Catamaran, a dedicated snorkel-only vessel. The Aquarius takes a maximum of  23 passengers and provides a very personalised service, perfect for relaxation. Enjoy an exhilarating ride to a stunning tropical island on the Great Barrier Reef. Swim and snorkel in the playground of spectacular marine life, including green turtles, parrot fish and fusiliers. Enjoy an explore in the tranquil waters of the Low Isles lagoon. Back on-board the Aquarious, enjoy a fresh tropical fruit and seafood gourmet lunch. Today you can also join an informative stroll around the island to learn about the fascinating history and environment of the Low Isles. The return journey is leisurely and includes afternoon refreshments.

Day 6 - Daintree Forest Day tour in a small tour group
Depart your accommodation and travel through rich farming areas toward the World Heritage listed forest region of the Daintree National Park. Step aboard a personalised craft for a cruise on the mirrored waters of the Daintree River. Cruise close to riverbanks and under the overhead canopy of the rainforest. Seek out the vivid Ulysses Butterfly, Kingfishers and other wildlife. As you glide through silent backwaters, have your camera ready for those magnificent crocodiles basking on the muddy banks.

Day 7 - Flight from Cairns to Ayers Rock/ Uluru
Meet your driver at the hotel/lodge for transfer back to Cairns airport. Take a domestic flight to Ayers Rock (either direct or via Alice Springs) and experience the real outback Australia where nature has an overwhelming power. The skyscrapers are made of rock, not steel, and one of the best shows in town is the spectacular million-star night-time display.This arid environment is home to a large population of unique animals, birds and reptiles. Wallabies, dingoes, emus, tiny geckos and huge eagles are just some of the long-established locals you’re likely to encounter.

Day 8 - Guided Outback Tour
Today you’ll explore the great Australian Outback. Guests staying at at Longitude 131° will enjoy a privately guided 4-wheel drive outback tour to experience the spirited heart of Australia. For guests staying at other accommodations, an outback tour is also included.
