Welcome to the GINZ monthly newsletter!

After walking through Christchurch’s Hagley Park today, I was stunned by the beauty of the trees ripe with pink blossom. Spring is a gorgeous season in the ‘Garden City’. The skies are blue, the day temperatures are warm and the daffodils are out. This would be a great time to visit New Zealand and to experience the unfolding season. It’s also an excellent time for outdoor activity such as kayaking and tramping – not too many people around, so you can enjoy greater intimacy with Mother Nature.

All the very best from the team at GINZ.com

Chillagoe Caves Outback Tours

An ideal way to explore the outback in the Cairns region is to take the Chillagoe Caves and Outback Day Tour. After personally being met and collected by a nature guide at your accommodation, you’ll ascend the McAllister Ranges and then head west through Mareeba embarking on a remarkable journey back to prehistoric times. First stop is Mareeba Wetlands for morning tea and a 20-minute cruise on an environmentally friendly electric boat. The abundant native wildlife definitely enhances the journey through the wetlands and then onwards to historic towns and rolling hills rich in minerals. After visiting the remains of the once mighty smelters, relax for a tasty lunch before partaking in the National Parks cave tour.

The fossilized remains of the ancient coral reefs with hidden limestone labyrinths give a portal to a lost world not unlike the Great Barrier Reef. Millions of years in the making, the limestone formations are nothing short of spectacular. Read on for more details…

Tahiti Dream

Simply known as Tahiti and her islands, the five archipelagos of French Polynesia are sprinkled over an area of four million square kilometres. The most frequently visited group is the Society Islands, comprising the “capital” island Tahiti and her neighbours Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine and other “hidden gems”! These islands offer a large variety of colourful marine life, year-round swimming in beautiful blue lagoons and unforgettable snorkelling and diving.

French Polynesia doesn’t only consist of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora... there are some other “hidden gems” perhaps less known but just as beautiful offering their own unique magic. So, when planning your holiday in this true “true paradise”... consider one of these five “hidden gems” too... to ensure a dream holiday! Read more about Tahiti travel information here.
