Flower Show: 11 – 15 March 2009
You might want to bookmark 2010 for a trip ‘downunder’ to visit the magnificent
Ellerslie Flower Show in Christchurch. Gardeners from all parts of the globe
gather to celebrate this internationally renowned festival, showcasing national
and international design. For a quieter moment, check out the floral carpet
in the cathedral, lovingly prepared by floral artists after months of meticulous
planning. Another special event connected with this show is the Floral Artwear
Collection by Jenny Gillies. To coincide with the Ellerslie Flower Show,
internationally recognized costume and fabric Artist, Jenny Gillies unveils
a new floral artwear collection each year.

On 13 April to 19 April 09, Christchurch is also celebrating the annual
Jazz and Blues festival featuring well known international artists and exhibits.
