New Zealand is a great place to travel by motorhome or campervan if you are looking for flexibility and the opportunity to 'wing it' along the way. There are plenty of great camping grounds throughout the country and it's worth investing in a copy of The New Zealand Camping Guide from any good book seller when you get here. The guide gives you an honest rundown on hundreds of camping spots - large commercial operations and small private camp grounds as well. We have some Motorhome specials for 2008 available on our website. Our self drive itinerary pages provide some good ideas for driving routes and you can also see examples on the Tourism New Zealand website.

While the majority of our clients are looking for independent self drive holidays, we do appreciate that some travelers prefer to travel by coach. This is certainly the case for less confident drivers or those who just prefer to sit back and enjoy the scenery without any thought of travel distances and following directions!

GINZ is able to offer a comprehensive range of escorted coach tours through Southern Vacations, a well respected and established operator. For example, the 15 day Wonderland Coach Tour leaves on a weekly basis throughout the summer with extra departures in March. The tour begins in Christchurch and includes 9 days in the South Island, taking in all the highlights including Dunedin, Queenstown, Milford and the West Coast Glaciers and then 6 days in the North Island crossing over to Wellington by ferry and travelling to Rotorua and the Bay of Islands before finishing in Auckland.

While a 15 day holiday in New Zealand gives you plenty of time to drive and explore throughout the country, the case is certainly different in Australia! We have several suggested itinerary options for each Australian State which you can mix and match by flying between the main cities and then traveling by rental car or motorhome. That way you can see alot of the country by flying between major destinations.

For example, our Travel Australia in 2 Weeks Itinerary has you starting in Melbourne, driving to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road, taking The Ghan train from Adelaide to Alice Springs, flying from Alice to Cairns and staying at Port Douglas. After your Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park Experience, you then fly to Sydney with the option of a few days relaxing in the Hunter Valley before departing from Sydney for home or your next destination.
