Day 1.
Arrive Auckland. Pick up your rental car and stay at The Sebel Suites.
Day 2.
Explore Auckland — see the Americas Cup Village, Kelly Tarltons Underwater World, take a boat trip to Waiheke Island and enjoy the local food and wine on offer. Stay at The Sebel Suites.
Day 3.
Travel to Pahia in the Bay of Islands (240km, 150 miles, 3 hours). Golf at Gulf Harbour at Whangaparoa, 40 minutes North of Auckland on the way or Waipu Golf Club at Bream bay. Stay at The Totaras, Paihia.
Day 4.
Visit the historic Treaty House at Waitangi and take a boat trip over to Russell. Stay at The Totaras.
Day 5.
Golf at Kerkeri, a short drive North, visit New Zealands oldest building, Kemp House (1822) and the Kororipo Pa, fort of the infamous Ngapuhi war chief, Hongi Hika. Kerikeri is home to many artisans, excellent cafes and restaurants. Stay at The Totaras.
Day 6.
Travel back to Auckland.Visit the Waipoua Kauri Forest on the way. Stay at Spencer on Byron Hotel in Takapuna.
Day 7.
Travel to the Coromandel Peninsula in the Bay of Plenty (160km, 100 miles, 2 hours). Stay at Bushland Park Lodge. Explore the beaches and take in some bush walks.
Day 8.
Golf at Matarangi Golf Links or Mercury Bay Golf Club. Other options include sea kayaking, bush walking, fishing, diving, surfing and swimming and soaking in the hot pools at Hot Water Beach. Stay at Bushland Park Lodge.
Day 9.
Travel to Rotorua (165 km, 100 miles, 2 hours).Explore this volcanic thermal resort, geysers and mudpools, enjoy a mineral Spa, visit a Marae and take in a Maori cultural show this evening. Stay at The Springs Lodge.
Day 10.
Visit New Zealands largest lake, Taupo, 1 hour south of Rotorua. Golf at the Wairakei Golf Course, visit the Huka Falls or go trout fishing (optional). Stay at The Springs Lodge.
Day 11.
Fly from Rotorua to Christchurch — visit the Arts Centre and Botanical Gardens, enjoy the streetside cafes and go punting on the Avon River. Stay at the Charlotte Jane Lodge.
Day 12.
Travel to Wanaka (424 km, 260 miles, 5 hours) via the Mackenzie Country and Mt Cook. Take a scenic flight (optional) over the Southern Alps by plane or helicopter and view the West Coast glaciers from above. Plan a picnic lunch at Lake Tekapo (half way). Stay at Parklands Lodge.
Day 13.
Golf in Wanaka amongst the splendour of the Southern Lakes and mountains. Take a walk around the lake, go fishing or jet boating, visit the Fighter Collection at the Wanaka Airport or relax in one of the lake front cafes. Stay at Parklands Lodge.
Day 14.
Travel to Queenstown (1 hour). Golf at Millbrook, Arrowtown or at Kelvin Heights, each course set in stunning mountain surrounds. Stay at Millbrook Golf Resort.
Day 15.
Fly-cruise-fly trip into Milford Sound (optional) for the day with Real Journeys.Take a boat trip out on the Sound. Millbrook Golf Resort.
Day 16.
Golfing around Queenstown or visit the local wineries, go jetboating on the Shotover or Dart Rivers Jet (both optional), take a trip up the gondola and across Lake Wakatipu on the steamship Earnslaw for lunch at a High Country sheep station (all optional). Millbrook Golf Resort.
Day 17.
Drive to Alexandra, (95 km, 60 miles, 1 hour) via Lake Dunstan and Clyde. Golf at Alexanda and stay at Rocky Range Lodge.
Day 18.
Drive to Dunedin( 190 km, 120 miles, 2.5 hours) Visit Larnachs Castle and the Royal Albatross Colony (both optional tours). Stay at Larnachs Castle.
Day 19.
Take a Monarch Wildlife Cruise, drive back to Christchurch via Oamaru and Timaru. Stay at Charlotte Jane Lodge.
Day 20.
Golf in Christchurch at the new Clearwater Resort, Russley or Shirley Golf Clubs or take a drive to Banks Peninsula and the seaside town of Akaroa (1.5 hours). Stop off for lunch at the French Farm winery on the way and on the way home, call into the Little River Café. Return to the Charlotte Jane Lodge in Christchurch.
Day 21.
Golf in Christchurch or take a day trip to Hanmer Springs (1.5 hours), relax in the thermal hot pools, golf, walk and enjoy the special atmosphere of this small mountain resort. Depart from Christchurch.
