Built the home in 1972 in a northern Australian design with board and batten and featuring wide wrap-around verandahs, interiors are timbered, complemented by a stone fireplace and antique furniture. The country-style wooden building has its own guest wing, containing as well as the two guest rooms, a large lounge with a billiard table. There is a swimming pool in the splendid garden.

Dinner is also available with Wendy, featuring home-raised meat, home-made icecream and home baking. Guests in the apartment can self-cater in the kitchenette. The views extend over the country garden and pool, Coromandel hills and Firth of Thames beyond.
