Built as a farmhouse in 1901, The Peppertree was converted in late 1994 into a comfortable accommodation house. Constructed from native timbers rimu, kauri and matai, the interior has been refurbished in sympathy with the era of the home. The furnishings are mostly antiques, with modern beds. A verandah provides shade, with spacious grounds for privacy and relaxing. The Peppertree is located in 4ha of farmland in the midst of an extensive country garden including a boutique vineyard. William Morris Suite: The charm of yesteryear is evoked as you enter this large, gracious room with queen size bed and antique furniture, including a magnificent chaise longue, kauri scotch chest and antique oval mirror. A grand kauri fireplace commands attention as does the genuine 'turn of the century' light fitting. The room has its own verandah with alternative entrance.
